I learned to communicate with teachers and coaches and to ask for help which was hard for me. We were offered counseling on campus as well as athletic trainers and physical therapy. We completed community service and internship hours as part of our graduation requirement which brought our school together as well as helped us integrate into the community. The food in the GMVS dining hall was not always top notch, but there was always food after training blocks and classes. I would recommend GMVS to any ski racer who wants to be well prepared for a similar student athlete life in college....
